The Breakout

It has come to my attention that even at my age breakouts still occur when I’m stressed. I’ve been stressed about school starting again these last few weeks, having to work full time and take on three classes this semester is a challenge for me. With in this time, the only other thing besides stress that can make this happen is the change of soap in the house, which has a light fragrance. I have never been able to use soaps with fragrance because it makes me break out.

The Research

I was researching to see if stress can really bring out acne. This research proved that it can actually worsen your acne. You can see the article Here. So this is just great! insert (Sarcasm), Just in time for my trip and I have a few blemishes on my face, soon I’m going to look like freak-en Rudolf the red nose reindeer. Lets just hope lots of water will do the trick, and some nice Acupuncture today to release some stress. Meditate maybe?!?

My thoughts

Acne at an older age sucks. Usually my skin is nice and clean and I only get a pimple around well you know (ladies, that time of month), but like I said the last 2 weeks have been a nightmare, am I 15 again?!? Oh please no!?!

Any remedies any one?!?

I didn’t make up this remedy and I haven’t tried it but I found it on this website and found it interesting…

Make a thicker paste out of Baking Soda and Water. Apply to face and let sit 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Follow with a light moisturizer.

So here we are August 24th, Back to School. Not just for us College folks, but elementary, middle and high school.

Back to school

Back to school seems to always cause headaches, car accidents, running late to work, the list goes on. For me it’s the headaches. I bought two of my books in advance but didn’t have all the information on one book so I had to buy it online today, well $102.00 later, I have a headache! Not only that but for me, well I’m planning on going on a trip for my boyfriends birthday Friday, and so I have my week booked along with starting my classes.

First Day of School

For others, it’s taking their kids to school maybe even for the first time. Like, my youngest nephew. Today my brother told me that the oldest one took him in like the good big brother he is, and tried to coach him into staying. Too cute, and too funny. My brother and sister in-law had to leave before the youngest one noticed. How sad! LOL.

Traffic

Others got stuck in the lovely thing we call TRAFFIC! Why is it that people can’t wake up on time to get their kids to school and get to work, and because everyone is running late to work, this causes accidents. I heard one time that the insurance companies and the hospitals are the busiest during the first 2 weeks of school starting, now that’s just crazy.

Get ready

Today I logged into my two classes to see what I needed to get ready for and now soon I’ll be heading to the campus for my third class. It doesn’t start until 5:40 so I don’t know what Ill do until then. Sit in the car and read?!?
*Sigh** Get ready because here I come…..

Do you see the colors in the world?!? Or Do you see in black and white?!?

My thoughts:

Sometimes I sit back and wonder if we really see all the colors in the world. If we truly know how lucky we are to just see. How lucky we are then most. Sometimes when I feel sad, I try to acknowledge all the great things I have in my life, that others aren’t so lucky to have in theirs. For example, I have my family who loves me, I have friends, I have my health and roof over my head, I have a job, I have LOVE. Some people don’t have any of those things.

Life is a blessing to most, and a nightmare to some. Those that surpass hardship and pain are the strongest. Some people don’t know how to survive the hard stuff and they take the easy way out, they end their own lives. That only leaves your family and friends to mourn for you, causing more pain to the ones you love. I never understood why people end their own lives. I think it’s selfish and they are only thinking about themselves. Unfortunately I also don’t know the sadness they had to live with each and every day, either, but I do know that no matter how sad you are, you have to talk to someone, you have to be strong and realize that things can be worse. Don’t look at things as only black and white, look around you and open your eyes, see the colors that some people can’t see.

The story:

My boyfriend had a razor with Tmobile, but when the screen got messed up he called and ordered the new blackberry. When he received this phone, it was defected, so he called to replace it with a new one. They sent him the phone but it was sent to the wrong address, they charged his account anyway for the full price of the phone. He called to explain he did not receive the phone and that it was lost by UPS. They credited his account and sent out a 3rd phone. He received the phone and sent back his defected one. They charged his account again for the 3rd phone, he called to tell them that he already sent his phone back and they claimed to not having received it yet. He went back and forth with Tmobile and USPS. USPS Claims they received it and Tmobile is saying they didn’t. Either way this isn’t our fault. It’s been about a year since this happened, and they still refuse to credit my boyfriend back for a phone that was lost. We canceled with Tmobile a few months back to switch over to AT&T (the New iPhone), and so of course they charged him the 200 cancellation fee. Normally he would pay it, but because they still owe him the credit for the phone they lost, he doesn’t want to pay it, he also doesn’t want them to report it to the Credit Report and damage his credit, so now he’s having to pay it.

My thoughts

I think this is just the way these phone companies make their money, ripping people off. My friend just recently got charged for going over her texts but they also included her aim, which by no means makes sense to me. It doesn’t matter if you have always been on time with your payments or have been a faithful customer for years, they don’t even try to give you a discount for you messing up once. Although I’m angry with Tmobile, all cell phone companies are the same. It’s ridiculous, the way the system works. What upsets me the most is the phone situation. How is it our fault that USPS or Tmobile lost the returned phone?!? They should have never charged this to my boyfriends account. Each Tmobile representative claims to look into it but we never get a phone call back, which is why this has taken so long to resolve. I think it’s crazy that’s it’s been a year and they refuse to give him back the refund, having to pay for a phone twice is just utterly ridiculous and for this Tmobile will always remain to me one of the worst Cell Phone companies to deal with. It’s a shame too, because I really liked them and they have great deals, but there phones aren’t that grate and neither is there service.

Hit & Runs – What can I say?!? See that picture above, that’s my car. How did it happen?

Here’s the story:

I was at my dentist office, and if you live here in Miami, you know that a lot of the parking lots leave barely any room for your car to fit in and get out. As I was rushing out of the parking lot to meet up to study for my exam, I noticed the scratches and small dent on the side of my car. There was no one next to me, which means, they hit on the way out and kept on going. I continued on my way to study, and when I got home my boyfriend and I tried taking off the black parts on the car, most of it came out, believe it or not, it was worse. The black residue is so hard to come out that I need someone to buff it out. It also left a small dent, which is hard to see in the picture, so either today or tomorrow M&M Dents is going to come out to my job to give me an estimate on how much it is going to cost to fix my car. I’ll give you an update on how much and how well of a job they do if I decide to go with them. They were recommended by a friend, so we’ll see.

My thoughts

I don’t understand why people choose to run after hitting someone. I just read on the news about a man who was killed on the side of the road, also a hit and run. Of course this type of hit and run is ten times more awful than any other kind. This person took a life, and chose to just leave the person there to die, perhaps if they stopped they could have saved their life. In my case it was only my car, no one was hurt except for maybe now my wallet.

Have you ever been a victim of a hit and run? Tell me about it!?! Did they catch the person??? In my case I didn’t file a report, because for what? Hopefully it will be quick to fix and hopefully it won’t cost too much.

Have you ever tried to sell things on Amazon.com?

Do you know of any other places to sell things that are better then Amazon?

Recently

I put some books for school recently on Amazon. In the first day I sold one book and the second day I sold another 2. My only mission is having to mail out the books myself and it costs more then what they charge for Standard Shipping. That with the commission you pay amazon you get less then expected. However, in my opinion, those books were going to sit there anyway and gain dust. Now at least I’m making something off of them. Something is definitely better then Nothing! Amazon does offer to ship out your items from a location they have, but I would have to ship them each item separately and they would reimburse you up to $100.00. That’s another mission. I wish they would just provide pre-paid labels from amazon and send you packaging which you can order from them when you enter the items you want to sell. This would be more convenient.

I love amazon, I get a lot of good deals on this site, but make sure to research what you might be ordering, and make sure you are getting a good deal. I was on Macys.com and tried finding a pair of shoes on Amazon, to see if they had a better deal. Most of the shoes cost the same as getting them directly from Macy’s. For this I would prefer to get them from Macy’s directly. One pair of shoes were actually a little more expensive on Amazon. I don’t know if you have ever bought shoes from amazon but the price varies on the color and the size of the shoes. In this one case, they were pricier. Just goes to show, that it’s better to research and make sure you’re getting the good deal or not.

I still love my amazon though, just wondering if there are better websites out there that can compete with amazon?!?

Sitting in an office all day?

The Office

I wake up and I’m at work by 7am every morning. I sit in an office all day with no windows. Some may say it’s a bit depressing. Yeah, sometimes sunlight would be nice, some fresh air, the open sky, BUT Sometimes it’s nice that I’m back here with no one to bother me, away from the bad weather. Especially Rainy Season here in Miami. However, sometimes I wish I had some type of exciting job, a job where you have to get out and drive around a little, get out of the office, stretch your legs, smell the flowers.

To tell you the truth, I’m not sure where this story is going….There isn’t much to tell. You come in, you sit, you work and you leave. Do you realize that we spend most of our days with the people we work with then with the people we love? It’s pretty sad actually that half our lives are spent at work. If you love your job, I guess it’s not so bad, but if it’s just that “A JOB” Is anyone every truly happy to be there? It’s more of a means to gain money, to pay your bills and survive out there in the world.

Studying to have your career one day

After work I study, I go to class twice a week and the rest of the week I have on line classes. It’s tough having to work full time and go to school. If you are one of the lucky ones that your parents are paying for your education and you don’t have to work, you don’t know how good you have it. Stay focused and finish school as fast as you can. I pay my own way, and it’s hard sometimes, having to get that money each semester. Books alone depending on how many classes you’re taking can run you from 200 dollars and up. It’s truly ridiculous the prices of these books. Hmmm maybe I should get into the book business. I bet they make a fortune off of us. Those books can’t possibly cost what you pay for them.

So after a long night last night of studying for my Final Exam today, I have to say I don’t think I’m 100% prepared. I’m a bit of a wreck, and nervous, and I’m not feeling to confident about it. I just hope I do good. During lunch I’m going to review and a little before the exam. Wish me luck all…I NEED IT~

Another day another dollar… Right?!?

Today is only Tuesday? Looking at the calendar I can’t believe it’s already the end of July. Next thing you know, we are in December and Christmas is here and more gifts, more money spent. I need a break. I feel like every time you turn a corner, it’s another birthday or occasion that you have to dish out money for, money I don’t really want to spend right now. In my family, birthdays begin in August and then don’t stop until Janurary, and then I get oh One month break.
