Is this world we live in safe anymore, we can’t even walk the beach in our own neighborhood and be safe. We can’t go to the mall, a doughnut shop. Are we that desperate people?

Look at this story that I found on the web yesterday:

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) — According to Broward Sheriff’s Office police, couples in a South Florida community are being robbed on the beach by a gunman.

Police said in the last month, four couples enjoying romantic early morning walks on the beach has been robbed at gun point, by a masked man.

Authorities said in one case, a couple was forced to have sex, then, the suspect raped the female victim.

The most recent attack, police said happened this past Sunday, when a couple from Pennsylvania was robbed. Broward Sheriff’s Office Detective Eric Hendel said, “The couple was approached in the early morning hours by a masked man who was armed with a handgun.”

Broward Sheriff’s Office police believe the same suspect is responsible for four attacks that happened within two blocks of each other between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. “We have similar MOs in all the cases. Black male wearing a mask. Similar stature,” Hendel said.

Some residents complained and are upset it took this long for them to be warned, while others said they are not surprised. “I’m not going back on the beach at that time. No. No. I’m going to stay off the beach,” Lisa Agett said.

Agett is left feeling grateful her midnight strolls did not end with a gun in her face. “Obviously it’s scary now,” Agett confessed.

Many of the residents vow to discontinue their walks on the beach after dark.

Police are worried and hopes someone can help catch the suspect.

What do you do when you just feel so sleepy you feel like falling asleep at your desk at work?

Well that’s exactly how I feel today. Monday night I went to sleep around 10:30, woke up at 5:40am and got to work at 6:42am. Last night I probably went to bed around the same time or later, and woke up at 5:20 and got to work at 6:29am. On top of that, both nights I kept waking up during the night, either cold or just tossing and turning. This frequently happens to me. I lack the right sleep.

I sat here the first 45 minutes of work falling asleep, and even now at 9:40am I feel like going to my bed and passing out for a few hours. If I could take a nap, I probably would. I don’t really like to drink coffee so what else can I take to wake my ass up?

Yesterday I went to visit my Great Aunt who turned 98 years old. It’s incredible how she just keeps going. She takes care of her 60 something year old son who is disabled, she cooks, cleans, and is just remarkable for being 98 years old.

As we got there to cut her a cake for her birthday she begins taking out old china plates and funky looking cups. She brought out sandwiches she had made because she couldn’t believe we didn’t tell her we were coming so she could have made something for us to eat. We tried to explain to her we already ate, but she insisted on us eating the sandwiches. I was stuffed already because I made a vegetable pasta and ate before going to her house. My Mom and Aunt couldn’t turn her down and ate the sandwiches. LOL. 😀

Her apartment is filled with junk, literally, just junk from all types of magazines and paper work all over the place, so she goes to the back and comes out carrying a chair so that we all can fit at the table. She’s 98 and she’s carrying this chair like it’s nothing. Her legs sometimes hurt and she has to help her son out of bed to help change him and take him to the bathroom so it’s no wonder she has some aches and pains.

I don’t know if I want to live to be that old, but whatever age I do live to be, I hope I have the strength she has. Shit, I already have aches and pains. Hence my MRI I went to yesterday. HAHAHA.

Happy Monday.

Back to work we all go. Today I’m leaving early, I have an MRI of the Lumber Spine. When I was 15 years old I went to Disney World with my family, and all of a sudden I got a sharp pain down my right leg. We thought it was coming from the Tennis Shoes I was wearing, so my mom bought me flip flops. The leg pain didn’t decrease and it was so bad I wanted to cry. I could hardly walk the pain was unbearable.

My mom took me to the doctor and I did physical therapy and everything, and nothing has helped the problem. Today I’m 25 years old and I still have the same leg problem, if not even worse, I have to wear a flip flow with a slight heel because flats make my foot hurt. And my low back begins hurting so much that both legs feel like I have a pair of bricks sitting on top of them. So today I’m going to take an MRI hoping that they will find something, anything to be able to fix this problem. What will I do when I have a family one day and I want to go to Disney World with them or even the mall. How will that work for me if I can’t walk for more than hour without the pain rushing to my legs?

Wish me luck! Thinking positive, they will find the pain and cure the pain!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

We started off at my house, I was there by 11 am helping my mom clean and cook. We had a great time, lots of food, talking and deserts! 🙂

Every Thanksgiving we have a tradition that we celebrate my Brother and my Aunts birthdays. There birthdays are in November so we have done this for many years, as far back as I can remember. So after the cake and eating desert real quick, we got ready to go to my Boyfriends Cousins house. It was probably about 9, we left a little later than usual but got to his cousins house around 9:30. We got there a little later than I would have liked, but honestly I hadn’t noticed the time. But at least we got there with time to hang out with his cousins. We probably left his cousins close to midnight and headed home for the night.

Friday night we had a Friends Thanksgiving, a tradition my brother and all his friends started about 4 years ago. We had a really good time, more food, more deserts and we drank and danced all night long. We had a really good time. Today is already Saturday and today we have just lounged in all day watching movies. I sit here writing wishing that tomorrow wasn’t already Sunday because that means Monday is around the corner and I have to go to work again. SUCKS! But it’s part of life, another day another dollar right?!? So far its been another blessing to have such a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family (boyfriend), and friends.
