Your promises are empty lies
you live in a world I despise
pretend smiles
and normalcy
a gift from you to me.
Look at yourself, what can you possibly see
the person looking back at me
sadness in your eyes, anger and hate
all the things that have happened have led to your fate
a little boy lost inside without a care,
living each day as if it was fair.
Get over it, stop the lies
stop pretending this is all okay
living a lie you believe to be true
Empty lies covered in pain
pretending each day is the same.
